These Air Max 97 Lux are almost as sick as possible. The human rib caged inspired panels of the '97 are finally just one color all around....and it's black premium leather. The hidden topstitching enhances the grooves of the panels to the extent of almost making them appear as foamposite from afar......i know, they are obviously not foamposite. One complaint, the use of pink.....pink and black usually lead to a dope color way, but it's how Nike used pink this time that urks me. Seems like they took the easy/cost conscious way out again.....The air bag is pink and over powers the rest of the shoe. How about adding pink highlights beneath the perforations? The perforated tongues and part of the upper are well placed but would look even better if there was some pink showing through. All in all......solid pair.....need them! But the fact that only 1,695 pairs were made will make the obsessors of rarity make the price tag way too high for for my taste.
