Gourmet Uno - L

As we all know, Gourmet has been scrutinized of it's use of iconic Jordan design lines ever since their inception.  Although I partially agree on their criticism of "lack of originality," I do give them props for making each Jordan "clone" unique to their style.  You cannot argue the fact that Gourmet designers have created their own unique feel with their use of simple clean soles and colorways. In my opinion, you can always tell from first sight whether or not a shoe is made by Gourmet.  They have begun to step away from  blatant Jordan tributes.  These Uno -L's are a small step in the right direction even though the obvious Hurache influence.  My advice to Gourmet is to create more of your own "classic" silhouettes rather than rely on proven Nike winners.  They are still in their infancy as a sneaker brand and now is the time to utilize your own "Tinker Hatfield" and create your own identity.
